Nom Kom

Coconut
 Coconut is the basic ingredient in every Khmer sweet or snack. Cooking coconut with green bean and put sugar palm, we put it in side the sticky rice that already made into powder. Normally, we used banana leaf to package. You can see in order of the picture, and last picture is the final one that we cook it. Exactly, this kind of sweet, the way we cook is to steam it for one hour. Furthermore, this kind of sweet we make during Pchum Ben day to share with relatives who come visit our house.

Pchum Ben Day is the big day events because all relatives who live far a way from hometown. They need to travel back hometown to celebrate together with their family or relative. And this ceremony is celebrate for people who passed a way and become ghost in the hell.
