Luffa Acutangula


Luffa Acutangula flower
One kind of Vegetable in Cambodia. It is also good for health. Cambodian people use to make green soup that mixing with many other vegetable or we can fry it with pork and egg. Sometime we steam it for eating with Cambodian Cheese (Brohok). Normally at country they like to plant it in their house land, which is easy for using in everyday food (it's fresh than buy from market). The way plant it, we just put seed in the dig land near trellis that used to support plants so after that they will be growing follow the trellis that we have built because they are vine plants. It start with yellow flower and than will become vegetable. Mostly, after it's mature, farmer will keep one a mount of them that have big fruit to keep for next time planting.
